Thank you for the 2023 season

2023/12/27

Thank you very much for your continued warm support of the Coca-Cola Red Sparks Hockey Club.

The final game of the 84th All Japan Women's Hockey Championship was held on December 24 as the last match of this season.

The results of our performance in the four big tournaments this season are as follows.

■ National Sports Festival     Runner-up

■ Amateur National Championship     ※Did not participate due to overlap with the scheduled international match

■ 2023 Hockey Japan League    Winner (6th time in 2 years)

■ 84th Women’s National Championship     Champion (3rd time in 3 years)

This season, there were many balanced offensive and defensive matches, but no one in the team gave up and fought as one until the end, and as a result, we were able to win two championships.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the many people who have always been passionate about supporting us, as well as the people involved in organizing the tournaments We thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts.

(Comment from Captain Yu Asai>

Thank you for all your continued support and encouragement. This year, with the exception of the Amateur Championship, we have been working as a team aiming to win the triple crown. Double crown has not been a fully satisfactory result based on our initial aim, but I feel more confident about the team now, seeing ourselves achieving a better result than the last season. There was no game this season that we were able to win easily. I think the result we achieved this year mirrors the tireless effort of the entire team that did not give up until the very last second of each match. Next year, we will be back with a new team that will aim at winning four championships! We thank you once again for your great support this year and appreciate your continued encouragement next year as well.

【Comment from Captain Natsuha Matsumoto】

Thank you for the immense support and encouragement you have once again given us this year. This season has been a difficult year for team building, as many members had to participate in more activities for the National Team than usual, which inevitably limited their time to function as Red Sparks players. But even under such circumstances. we worked hard by valuing close communication and were able to deliver great results, including our achievement as becoming the runner-up in National Sports Festival, the winner of Hockey Japan League and the champion of Women’s National Championship. I think each and every player was able to express hockey in a way that was typical of the Red Sparks and that would be enjoyable for the spectators to watch. Next year, we will continue to devote ourselves as a solid team. We greatly appreciate receiving your continued warm support for the Coca-Cola Red Sparks going forward.
